The support arm (1) which engages beneath the side wall (4) of the furniture and continues into an inwardly projecting threaded support closes at the bottom a socket opening which is let into the side wall of the furniture and opens downwards and inwards. An insert member (3) which fits tight into the socket is moulded on the support arm (1) so that the support (2) with the thread projects up from the front whilst a flange-like attachment (33) running at right angles to the slide direction projects from the back (32) so as to engage snug behind a rear-cut part of the socket. By shifting the forces which occur during vertical adjustment into the side wall of the furniture the fastening means can not be torn out even in the event of maximum strain. Additional fastenings such as screws etc. are no longer necessary due to the snug fit of the flange.
