The invention concerns a textile barrier filter in which the filter material 2 is clamped in a cassette frame 3 which is set into a filter housing 21. The filter material forms rows 7,8 of filter bags 9 which must be kept stretched out in order to counteract the pressure drop of the gas across the filter material and ensure that the clean-gas ducts remain clear. The clamping of the filter in the cassette frame's frame section 4 is achieved by any type of established principle, and for the stretching of the filter bags 9 there are several stretching devices 13 arranged to run along the rows 7,8 of filters, which devices bring about a zigzag or wave form after being fastened to the filter material 2. To bring about the stretching, the stretch devices 13 operate in conjunction with clamps 16 arranged in the cassette frame's gable sections 5 and bottom beam 6, which clamps 16 are designed to fasten elastically the filter material to fixing points 15 placed around the outer edge of the rows of filters 7,8. The stretch devices 13 can be fastened to the filter material 2 by means of loops 14 in the filter material, or by gluing to same. The forming of the stretch devices 13 can be accomplished by bending. According to one embodiment, the stretch devices 13 are made of destructible material which can be burned together with the filter material.
