APPARATUS FOR FEEDING A FILLER CORD IN THE ELEMENT FORMING FOR SLIDE FASTENER

A sliding fastener reinforcing cord feed apparatus-feed from cord loop under minimum tension through teeth forming helical filament. As the coiled slide fastener element is being formed by winding a filament helically a filler cord is fed through it. Between the cord supply and the filament winding the cord follows a longitudinal path which includes a loop portion at which it is gripped and engaged. This enables the cord to be driven along the longitudinal path, and the rate of feeding is adjusted to correspond to the rate of formation of the fastener elements.
