<p>The multiple contact system suitable for a liquid crystal display device has two plates (1,2) carrying a conductive foil (3) which projects to pass round the curved end (16) of a carrier body (15), with the display device (18) and its positioning frame (23) resting on its surface which incorporates the printed parallel conductors (7). Across the rear of the carrier (15) is a groove (17) for a rolled end of the conductive foil, with the parallel conductors on its outside. At opposite ends of the conductors are cross members (13,14) of resilient material with alternate sections (G,J) of conductors and insulators, for connection with the contact member (19) which makes connection to the individual segments (21) of the liquid crystal display portions (20). Contacts are made by resilient connecting members (30,32) at each end of the conductive foil.</p> |
