An electrical connector assembly having an antide- coupling device for retarding premature uncoupling thereof comprising a first shell (100) having a flange (140) thereabout and bosses on the periphery thereof adjacent the flange (140); a coupling nut (300) having stop members (311) on an inner part (307) thereof; and a spring (500) situated between the flange (140) of the first shell (100) and an end wall (305) of the coupling nut (300), the stop members (311) preventing rotational movement of the spring (500) relative to the coupling nut (300) while the bosses retard movement of the spring (500) relative to the first shell (100).
