<p>The spring-suspended motor bogie mounting, esp. for use on high-speed railway vehicles relieves loading on the frame and reduces motor vibration loading, and also dynamic loading in the kinematic chain linking motor and wheel-set. The driving motors are fixed to the beam running between the axles and parallel to them, with end frame supports. The motors are stabilised, together with the beam, in the vertical plane on the line of the bogie mounting's longitudinal axis. Stabilisation may be effected by draw rods with an elastic end connection to the motor and to vehicle body. The gearing for each motor may be fixed to the beam.</p> |
