<p>A battery terminal comprises a block 1 of a resilient synthetic polymeric material or natural rubber. One of the faces of the block has a recess 2 into which a terminal 3 can be progressively inserted. The block has two interconnected conductors 4 and 5 embedded within the block. The conductors are diametrically opposed to each other on either side of the recess 2. The conductors 4 and 5 are adapted to contact a terminal 3 when inserted into the recess 2. The recess 2 has at least two portions of ribbing 11 on the surface of the recess wall, the ribbing being inclined away from the entrance to the recess to facilitate insertion of the terminal 3 and to anchor or secure the terminal within the recess. <IMAGE></p> |
