PURPOSE:To enable the folding control of MODEM at the remote station even if the remote station is not in operation, by providing the control signal bit for remote station folding in the transmission signal frame. CONSTITUTION:In normal communication state, the terminal units 3, 4 of the terminal stations 1, 2 produce the RS signal, and the transmission sections 7, 8 and reception sections 9, 10 perform the transmission and reception of data with the transmission timing signal ST, transmission data SD, reception timing signal RT and reception data RD. In testing the terminal station 2 from the terminal station 1, the terminal station 1 provides the remote station folding control signal bit RMT in the transmission data frame 12 and takes this as ''1''. In the MODEM 6 of the terminal station 2, even if the terminal unit is not in operation, the folding circuit in the MODEM 6 is controlled with ''1'' of the said RMT bit to complete the folding route. |
