The circuits have simple units to ensure that motor and brake of a model vehicle cannot be operated simultaneously. The example here selected applied to a four rail model track permitting two vehicles to run and to be manually controlled on the same track. The four rails are used in pairs, the two outer ones being connected to a supply circuit comprising a pushbutton (88) a current reversal switch (85), a variable resistor (84) and a transformer (87), whereas the two inner rails are connected to corresponding components on the left. The first-named circuit controls a vehicle having contact blades (70,73), an electric motor (74) and an electromagnet (75) responsive only to a.c. supplied via a capacitor. The second vehicle having contact blades (71,72) has identical components. The pushbutton (88) is a changeover switch removing voltage from the dc line and applying it to the ac generator to which the brake magnet (75) responds.
|
