The slide member is part-conical, and has easily replaceable wear-resistant members (16) and sealing members (17), Fig. 5 (not shown). The outer valve housing part containing inlets 1 and outlets 5, 6 is hinged to the inner part 12. The slide member is moved by control pistons acting through a pivoted lever (19), Fig. 1 (not shown).
