PURPOSE:To prevent fluctuation of a transfer position, by providing a detector between a transfer unit and a conveying roller, stopping a transfer paper for a while when the detector detects the end of the paper, and starting to convey the paper again after a given time from start of exposure in an electrophotographic printer. CONSTITUTION:Command of recording allows transfer paper 18 to be fed by one sheet, when its end reaches first detection position C, detector 42 detects its arrival, and at the same time exposure scanning is started at exposure position A of photosensitive drum 10. Paper 18 is conveyed with conveying roller 32, when it reaches second detection position D, and brake 40 is actuated by electromagnetic clutch 32 through second detector 44 to stop roller 32 and paper 18. When a given time has elapsed after functioning of detector 42, roller 32 starts to convey paper 18. Image transfer is made in transfer unit B during this stop time length, thus permitting fluctuation of the transfer position to be prevented. |
