发明名称 ORIENTATION TREATING METHOD OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To make orientation characteristic more uniform and orientation films stabler by coating the mixed soln. of organic silicone compounds having 1-3 hydrolyzable groups and organic compounds of groups IV a and b elements having four hydrolyzable groups, and subjecting the same to orientation treatment after heating. CONSTITUTION:The soln. contg. total 0.1-10wt/vol% one or more kinds of organic silicone compounds having 1-3 hydrolyzable groups such as gamma-glycidyl propyltriethoxysilane and total 0.1-10wt/vol% mixture of one or more kinds of compounds having 4 hydrolyzable groups of group IV a elements Ge, Sm, etc. or group IV b Ti, Zr, etc. of tetra alkoxy type etc. is coated on electrode substrates by a dipping or printing method, after which it is heated for about 10sec-120min at room temp. - about 200 deg.C to form orientation films; thereafter the films are rubbed in one direction, whereby the uniform orientation is obtained. The adhesiveness between the electrode substrates and the orientation films is improved by mixing and using group IV element compounds, thus the orientation treated films which are stable despite heating at the sealing of the liquid crystal cell or in a high temperature high humidity environment are obtained.</p>
