PURPOSE:To obtain the position information continuously as much as possible, by storing the number of clock pulses which are counted in accordance with the velocity of the travelling object within the time during which the travelling object passes through the fixed section length and then counting the prescribed pulses in the next fixed section. CONSTITUTION:When the travelling object enters section A1, N units of clocks are counted by counter 3 and according to the velocity of the travelling object to be stored in memory device 4. Then travelling object moves to section A2, and thus the signals sent from device 4 are divided by numerical value M which is set previously in divider circuit 5 to be defined as the set signal of counter 6. Thus the signal is delivered from counter 6 every time the clock pulses counted in section A2 are counted by N/M units. This delivered signal is supplied to predictive signal generator 7 to obtain the position signal which means that the travelling object advances by L/M. The position information thus obtained is finer than the single position information which is obtained through the variation of the signals at crossing part 2. In other words, the information approximate to the continuous one can be obtained. |
