An aromatic product having a protracted aromatic action and containing at least one aromatic substance or flavouring in an organic matrix, characterised in that the matrix consists of at least one water-insoluble or difficulty or slowly water-soluble substance of the group of organic polymeric substances and/or natural resins or natural resin derivatives in which, if required, a plasticizer is embedded and which, if required, contains a substance which controls the penetration factor, and the matrix containing the aromatic substance or flavouring is, if required, enclosed in a wrapping layer which delays the penetration.
