PURPOSE:To detect an original size accurately to prevent the erroneous operation for form selection, by not using a projector but using a coloring material to detect the original size by a color sensor. CONSTITUTION:When platen cover 5 is opened, the external light incident to the part of color plate 3 or 3' which is not covered with original 2 is reflected as the color light of a specific wave length by reflection color plate 3 and is incident to color sensor 4 through transparent color plate 3'. Therefore, color sensor 4 corresponding to the part which is not covered with original 2 shows the output corresponding to the specific wave length, and other color sensors show a different output, so that this information can give size information of original 2. When platen cover 5 is closed, start switch 6 is operated, and selection and supply of a form based on information of color sensors 4 is performed by the selective supply circuit. Thus, the erroneous operation for form selection can be prevented. |
