摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the thermal efficiency of a regenerator for a plate glass kiln by constructing the regenerator with radiation-promoting heat-accumulating brick having many surface holes or grooves for increasing the radiation rate and showing a specified value or more of apparent radiation rate epsilona at each temp. CONSTITUTION:This regenerator is constructed with rediation-promoting heat- accumulating brick having many surface holes or grooves and showing spparent radiation rate epsilona of >=0.8 at 500-800 deg.C, >=0.7 at 800-1000 deg.C and >=0.5 at >= 1000 deg.C. In order to perform effective radiation, it is desirable to adjust diameter R (diameter or minor axis in case of circular form and minimum side in case of square form) of each hole to 3-70mm., depth L to 3-75mm., the ratio of L/R to 1-7.5 and the opening ratio of the brick surface to 25-75%, In case of grooves, it is desirable to adjust width W to 2-65mm., depth H to 2-140mm., the ratio of H/W to 1-10 and the opening ratio to 25-75%.
