<p>Compsn. comprising a major amount of CaCli and 0.1-10 wt. % of a polyethylene glycol of mol. wt. 1,000-20,000 is used for drying gases contg. water, the compsn. being used as briquettes or agglomerates. The compsn. is more resistant to crumbling than ordinary CaCl2 or CaCl2 mixed with NaCl and forms a satd. soln. which crystallises at a very low temp. thus preventing formation of bridges in drying columns.</p> |
