PURPOSE:To prevent a reduction of a frictional force by a method wherein permeating holes are provided on a ball socket and an end lid in a ball joint having a ball seat volumetrically expanding by moisture. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of permeating holes 9 are provided on a peripheral wall of a ball socket 5 while one permeating hole 10 is provided at a center of an end lid 6 and the ball socket 5 is constituted so as to be contacted with open air through these permeating holes 9, 10. Accordingly, a ball seat 3 absorbs moisture in the open air or splashed water through these permeating holes 9, 10 as a time is elapsed and a volumetric expansion is caused therein which increases a frictional force between a ball 2 and the ball seat 3 gradually. Thus, a reduction of the frictional force in a ball joint with elapse of time may be prevented. |
