<p>The valve control system has the input and output valves of the engine controlled by electromagnets, obviating cams. An electromagnet is located to the left and right of the valve shank and attracts the valve's ferromagnetic valve plate. The excitation times are varied during engine running. Fabrication costs are reduced and the output power delivered by the engine is raised. Weaker valve springs can be used. The valves open and close more quickly. Noise is reduced. Knocking is reduced due to better cooling. The engine's weight is reduced.</p> |
