PURPOSE:To obtain a dot impact printing head which does not require a ribbon, by covering each printing pin by a member filled with an ink. CONSTITUTION:When a printing pin 2 is in a stopped condition, an ink 11 contained in an ink tank 4 does not come out to a printing pin-inserting part 15. With the pin 2 moved by an amount alpha' in a direction C, a gap is generated between the tank 4 and the pin 2, and the ink 11 comes out to the inserting part 15 as the ink 12. Next, the pin 2 is moved in a direction D, whereby the ink 13 present in the inserting part 15 is adhered to a printing paper. By repeating this operation, printing can be performed. This printing head thus has a construction wherein each printing pin is covered by a member filled with the ink, and can perform dot impact printing without need for a ribbon. |
