Rapidly setting bituminous emulsions

The compn. is prepd. from an intimate mixt. consisting of (pbw): 100 agregate, 0.1-500 Portland cement and/or hydrated lime, 3-150 bituminous emulsion (with 50-70% bituminous binder content), 0.1-5.0 wt % of water soluble anionic emulsion salt derived from phosphoric, phosphonic, sulphuric or hydrocarbyl-substd. sulphonic acid, with H2O to 100%. Used for road repairs, making recreation areas and athletic tracks, or as rejoining suspensions.
