PURPOSE:To perform the recovery of waste heat in the skirt of a converter at high efficiency, by connecting practically the cooling water circulating system for the skirt and the cooling water circulating system for exhaust gas of the converter so as to form a closed circuit of cooling water circulating system for the whole treating apparatus for exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A circulating circuit is formed by connecting the cooling water for the skirt 10 of a converter 17 to a skirt tank 7 with water tubes 8, 8'. Swivel joints 18 are attached on the way of the tubes 8, 8' in order to make possible the vertical motion of the skirt 10. The cooler 16 for the exhaust gas of the converter is connected to a boiler drum 13 with water tubes 15, 15' to form a circulating circuit, then the skirt tank 7 is connected to the boiler drum 13 with a water tube 12. Pure water supplied from a pure water tank 1 is sent through a heat exchanger 3 to a deaerator 4, where it is deaerated, then sent to the skirt tank 7, hereby the circulating circuit for the cooling water of the skirt is made into a closed circuit, consequent ly heat recovery ratio in the skirt is improved. |
