摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To deposit copper and arsenic at the same time, by performing the copper and arsenic removing electrolysis making the form of arsenic in copper electrolyte as trivalent arsenic ion previously. CONSTITUTION:Purification of electrolyte is contrived by depositing and separating copper and arsenic eluted in the electrolyte at the electrolytic refining of copper. That is, copper and arsenic are deposited as copper arsenide (Cu2As and some quantity of Cu3As) and at the same time, said arsenide is efficiently removed by performing copper and arsenic electrolysis after converting arsenic from pentavalent to trivalent in electrolytic fore-solution. For example, the electrolyte drawn out from the electrolytic bath for electrolytic refining and sulfurous gas is blown into the solution in the copper and arsenic removing electrolytic bath or another vessel and then, pentavalent arsenic is converted into trivalent arsenic by the method of adding divalent iron ion in the solution etc. Next, about -200mV cathode potential is used at a room temperature-about 40 deg.C solution temperature using lead plate as the anode and copper plate as the cathode.</p>
