<p>The present invention provides rapid attachment means for the air cushion dampers, distribution headers, covers, bottom plates or the like on the headbox in a paper machine, said means serving to lock said components in their operating positions and to allow them to be removed for servicing of the headbox, said attachment means comprising an elongated locking rod operable by a drive means which extends over a substantial part of the margin of the part to be attached, the locking rod carrying mutually spaced locking means adapted to extend along and be a contiguous relationship with the parts to be locked together, the locking means being openable or closable upon actuation of said drive means to move the locking rod.</p> |
