Inductive flowmeter with three electrodes in plastics tube - has magnetic core mounted outside tube, clamped by bolt and embedded in expanded plastics

The inductive flowmeter consists of a plastics tube (10) of round cross-section, equipped with three electrodes, two of which (11,12) are measuring electrodes, subtending on angle of less than 180 degrees at the centre of the tube and symmetrically disposed w.r.t. an electromagnetic core (14) mounted outside the plastics tube (10) and held in place by a centrally located bolt (15). An earthing electrode (16) is fitted at the end of the bolt. A magnetic flux conductor is fitted, and is in the form of a metal plate (18), with a base part (183) and two side wings (181,182). The tube is accommodated coaxially but eccentrically on a cylindrical housing (21) fitted with expanded plastics. The earth connection is made to a tag fitted under the head of the bolt (15) on the side remote from the plastics tube (10).
