<p>The invention relates to a towing device for two agricultural trailer machines, each of which machines has coupling mechanism at the front and rear thereof. In accordance with the invention, the towing device includes a transverse member equipped with a laterally immovable towbar. The width of the transverse member is no greater than the permissible overall width of an agricultural trailer machine designed to travel on public highways. The coupling mechanisms of the trailers are arranged symmetrically with the centerlines through the trailers. The front coupling mechanism of at least one trailer is fitted with two struts of equal length, and the struts are arranged to pivot about, respectively, front and rear vertical pins at the two ends thereof. The struts are spaced from each other in the direction of travel and are adapted to be locked to the trailer machine.</p> |
