PURPOSE:To provide the titled protelin which can be easily taken into hepatic tissue, useful as a remedy, diagnostic, etc., of hepatopathy and containing more than specific amount of sugar chains having terminal galactose-galactose bond based on the whole chain. CONSTITUTION:The objective protein (e.g. human interferon beta) contains >=20% (based on the whole sugar chains) of sugar chains having galactose-galactose bond on at least one terminal. The protein can be produced e.g. by bonding a monosaccharide or an oligosaccharide to a non-reducing terminal of a sugar chain of known glycoprotein under reducing condition. |
