The fold-away bunk beds consists of two folding mattress bases which slide out from within a frame and swing downward into an operative position. The leg of the bottom bed has a support which is manually or automatically operated. The frame is covered with a concealing panel. Side panels move round and enclose the mattress base and stabilisers. The stabilisers balance the weight of the bed during the swinging out movement.
