The closure fits on the rim (34) of a beaker, (16). One (2) of the inner layers comprises a portion (30) with printing (10) which can be exposed and detached (cuts 31).S The printed area (10) of this portion (30) may face the inside of the beaker. The adhesive surface (22) of the layer (2) may face the adhesive-reoellent surface (24) of an outer layer (26) whose exposed surface (28) carries printing. The layer (2) may be adhesively secured (33) in the area outside the portion (30) to the top surface (32) of a cover foil (36) which is sealingly secured (35) to the rim (34).
