The system compris es a plurality of WTRUs (14) at least one beam-forming antenna (12), and at lea st one radio network controller (RNC) (18). The antenna (12) is capable of beam forming and beams (10) emanating from the antenna (12) may be adjusted in accordance with actual conditions in the wireless communication system (100) .
