<p>An electronic control system for a washing machine has an array of indicators on the control console corresponding to the number of different selections which may be made for the various sections of the washing program. Conveniently, each selector button which governs a particular program segment has adjacent to it the appropriate indicator element. Operation of a particular button activates the associated indicator, which remains only until that segment of the program has been executed. The control console displays constantly the selected washing program, and also monitors its progress, showing at a glance the parts of the program still to run.</p> |
