<p>Equipment for moving trucks inside a blind shaft of a mine includes rails (1) for the wheels (26) of the trucks (27) and a drive unit mounted on a rail (6) outside the track and parallel to it. This rail is supported on spacers (20) mounted on cross members (22) which also support the track rails (1). The rail can be built up from sections of required length. A carriage (3) with a swinging arm (23) which connects to the truck, is moved by an endless chain (11). This is driven by e.g. a pneumatic motor at one end of the rail, and passes around return pulleys at the other end. The swinging arm has an extension (4) with a buffer (13) mounted on the end, for contact with the truck and has a hook (12) lower down for locking against the carriage. The latter has rollers (10) which engage the web of the rail carrying it.</p> |
