A silkscreen printing machine has a conveyor belt, which is preferably an endless conveyor belt (2), for conveying a material to be printed, the conveyor belt (2) being drivable by a drive means (46) in a manner such that the belt (2) can be stopped in a first position for registering or aligning the material to be printed upon, and then driven to convey the material to a printing position where a print corresponding to a stencil pattern is applied to the material. A movement sensing device (40, 41, 42) is capable of sensing when the conveyor (2) has travelled through the distance required to convey the material to the printing position, the device being sensitive to displacements of less than 0.5 mm. The sensing device (40,41,42) is connected to a signal generating device including a counter (44) which, on attaining a predetermined count, generates a signal (45) capable of transmission via a coupling device (47) so as to interrupt the drive means (46). <IMAGE> |
