A rig (1) for a sailboard consists of a mast (2) arranged on the board (7), a forked boom (4) fastened like a spanker boom to the mast and having two spars (8, 9) arched to the outside in mirror image for holding the rig (1), and a sail (3) which is run loosely between the spars and whose rear end (clew (15)) is secured at the stern to the forked boom (4) and whose foot (14) runs from there obliquely downwards to the mast (2), in which arrangement the spars (8, 9), to prevent the sail profile from being impaired by the forked boom (4), diverge towards the stern, their ends remote from the mast are connected by a transverse web (12), the transverse web (12) is of circular-arc design with a centre point lying approximately in the axis of the mast (2), the clew (15) of the sail (3) is secured to a slide (16) guided on the transverse web (12), and a trimming sheet (17) moving this slide (16) is provided.

|
