High AC voltage measurement in switching equipment - using potential divider resistor elements easily adjusted to voltage rating

The device for measurement of high alternating voltages in high voltage switching equipment is esp. for metal encapsulated switches with SF6 gas insulation. It contains two or more resistances forming a potential divider between high voltage and earth of which the one connected to earth is the measurement resistor. It combines small size with optimal temp. characteristics and easy effective adjustment to different voltage ratings. The high voltage side resistor and for the measurement resistor are made up of identical resistor elements which can be fitted together. Each resistor element consists of an insulating carrier body with the resistor material applied to an external surface. Each carrier body may be a disc with raised edges for element separation with radial cooling slots.
