PURPOSE:To improve characteristics and reduce size by disposing an optical path changing element having lens effect between a plurality of fiber rows, each pair of which is opposedly installed. CONSTITUTION:Light entering from an incident fiber 1 is converted to parallel light by collimating lenses 3, 3' for 1/4 pitch, and its optical path is bent by a focusing type rod lens 6 for optical path changing of 1/2 pitch, by which it is once condensed in its inside and is then converted to parallel light. This parallel light is condensed by a condensing lens 4' and is taken out from an exit fiber 2'. Thereby, the light entering from the incident fiber 1 is connected to the exit fiber 2'. If in this state the focusing type rod lens 6 for optical path changing is removed, the light entering from the incident fiber 1 is connected to the exit fiber 2 and the incident fiber 1 and the exit fiber 2' are disconnected. |
