<p>PURPOSE:To form a clear, deformation-free pattern on a surface of a polyvinyl chloride sheet, by subjecting the sheet to an embossing process, and filling recesses in the resulting sheet with polyvinyl chloride paste, whereby a pattern the outer surface of which is in alignment with that of the sheet can be formed. CONSTITUTION:The first polyvinyl chloride sheet 20 and the second polyvinyl chloride sheet 30, which contains an inorganic filler of a weight as 1-3 times as large as that of the resin, are superposed on each other to be fused. In order to form recesses 21 which extend from an outer surface of the first sheet 20 to the second sheet 30, the fused sheets are subjected to an embossing process. The recesses 21 are then filled with polyvinyl chloride paste 20, and excess paste is removed with a doctor knife 16. The polyvinyl chloride paste in the recesses 21 is then gelatinized by heating the same by heaters 40, to obtain a pattern-carrying sheet.</p> |
