Purines of the formula: wherein A is NH, S or O, R is C1-C4 alkyl or lower alkoxy, or cyclohexyl, and R1 is cyclohexyl, 2-cyclohexenyl or a pyran residue, with certain provisos; or pharmaceutically acceptable addition salts thereof are bronchodilating agents. Processes for preparation are described.
