PURPOSE:To obtain an adsorbent of superior adsorption performance for heavy metal complex ions by compounding a maleic anhydride-base polymer and polyethylene imine at the specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A maleic anhydride-base polymer (e.g. maleic acid anhydride-isobutylene copolymer) (a) and polyethylene imine (b) are dissolved in water at ratios of 1-3.6 in equivalent compounding ratio (ratio of nitrogen group to carboxylic group). Next, the above-mentioned aqueous solution is cast to a sheet shape which is then heated at about <=130 deg.C to allow water to evaporate and the resin to set, after which it is ground to desired grain sizes, whereby the adsorbent is obtained. |
