PURPOSE:To treat the surface of a pickled radish rapidly and to increase the product value, by means of an apparatus designed to insert the pickled radish between a pair of the top and bottom rotatable rolls wrapped with sheets of abrasive paper on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The tray 3 is provided on the top of the frame 2, and the bottom roll 4 is equipped rotatably on the top of the tray 3. The arm 6 is swingably attached to the bracket 5 extending from the edge of the tray 3. The top roll 7 in contact with the bottom roll 4 is rotatably supported by one end of the arm 6, and the weight 8 is movably attached to the other end of the arm 6. The top and the bottom rolls 7 and 4 are wrapped with sheets of abrasive paper, and the sprinkling pipe 9 is provided horizontally above the top roll 7. A pickled radish 10 is inserted between the rolls 7 and 4, and the surface is ground to remove the hairy root therefrom. |
