The pulse transmitting generator is particularly intended for the control of radio receiver tuning. It uses a swing disc on an axis for the pulse generation, while the end of the axis is fitted with an operating knob. The statutory state of the disc is secured by a locking device. The axis (2) is fitted with a slip coupling (4) between the disc (7) and the operating knob (5) and/or the disc is rotatably mounted on the axis. The latching of the disc in an undesired position is prevented by a device pref. containing a sprung coupler connecting the disc to the slip coupling. A spiral spring (10) may be used as the sprung coupler. The disc is typically toothed and of ferromagnetic material. A light barrier is used for the pulse generation, and a magnetic device provides the mechanical disc latching in defined angular positions.
