Burner with oxygen-enriched flame - for thermochemical surface processing, has built-in electric ignition for preheating-block heating flames

The burner includes a head on which two blocks are located, each contg. outlet holes for fuel gas and/or heating oxygen. A channel for cutting oxygen is provided between the two blocks. At least one side plate on the burner contains an electric igniter unit, which pref. includes an igniter wire projecting into an ignition chamber. Chamber is pref. provided with gas supply channels carrying fuel gas and oxygen, and ending on the outlet surface of the burner. Valves pref. control the amt. of fuel gas and oxygen fed into the gas supply channels for chamber. Blocks provide a preheating flame, and the invention provides a reliable means for igniting this flame when required, thus eliminating the need for a pilot flame.
