A fixing lug for driving into a hole in the walling of a piece of furniture is monolithically set on a base plate, and has a resilient, plastics spreadable component with a cavity for the lug, in a metal furniture hinge mounting plate, esp. of pressure cast zinc. The run-up ramps (6) for splaying the plate are located only in the open end area of the lug concerned (2,3). The cavity to accommodate the lug, in the spreading piece (4), has a retaining widened section (5) below its top opening which faces the base plate (1), for insertion of the ramp area of the lug without noticeably widening the spreading piece.
