PURPOSE:To obtain a wire driving head miniaturized, of high-speed, superior in power efficiency and suitable for use on a wire dot printer by a construction wherein a moving part is given in a coil formed in a slab form, and a magnet and a yoke are formed solidly against a wire. CONSTITUTION:There is generated a static magnetic field vertically to a slab part of a moving coil 55 by a magnet 51 in each void 54. From carrying a current to the moving coil 55, a force is generated on one end conductor 55a of the moving coil 55 inserted in the void according to Fleming's law. Therefore, when a current is carried to the moving coil 55, a corresponding striking block 56 moves in the direction indicated by arrow together with the moving coil 55, and an armature head 59 is driven out by the striking block 56. Thus a wire 58 springs out at high speed, strikes against a platen through an ink ribbon and a print form and forms a dot on the print form. |
