PURPOSE:To reduce the floor area occupied by the device by a method wherein a hot water storage tank, a heat absorbing pipe and a gas burner are arranged coaxially in a main body, and a feed/exhaust fan is arranged on the same axis line as the main body in a feed/exhaust duct. CONSTITUTION:A heat absorbing pipe 30 is composed of a bottomed outer cylinder 31, an inner cylinder 32 and a heat absorbing fins 33. The outer cylinder 31 is fixed airtightly to the bottom plate 22 of a hot water storage tank 20 in such a manner that it pierces the central portion of the bottom plate 22, its upper end 31a opens into the hot water storage tank 20, and its bottom portion 31b extends to the winding portion of a feed water pipe 51. A burner 40 is arranged in the center of the main body 10 below the heat absorbing pipe 30, with one end of its combustion cylinder 41 connected with a gas feed pipe 14 fitted to the gas feed port 10b of the main body 10. An exhaust pipe 53 is fitted to an exhaust port 10a at the central portion of the top portion of the main body 10, and an exhaust fan 54 is arranged at the joint portion between a horizontal portion 53b extending sideways and a riser portion 53a extending coaxially with the main body 10. Accordingly, the floor area occupied by the device can be reduced. |
