PURPOSE:To detect advance angles at high accuracy, by counting a time for a piston to reach its top dead center from its ignition point and arithmetically calculating this value. CONSTITUTION:A time from the point when a rotary pulse is fed out to the ignition point before the next rotary pulse is fed out, time corresponding to an interval of rotary angle pulses in the vicinity of the ignition point, time from the point when a rotary angle pulse is fed out to the arrival at a top dead center before the next rotary angle pulse is fed out and a time corresponding to an interval of rotary angle pulses in the vicinity of the top dead center are latched in latch circuirs 12, 13, 10, 11 respectively, and these values are arithmetically calculated by dividers 15a, 15b, an adder-subtractor 16 and multiplier 16 to obtain detected output theta of an advanced angle from an output terminal 19. |
