<p>PURPOSE:To form a liq. crystal display element free from coloring and a transparency lowering due to glass frit sealing and showing a superior contrast by forming an orienting film made of specified copolymer on an electrode substrate. CONSTITUTION:A bis(aminophenoxy)diphenyl compound such as 4,4'-bis(m- aminophenoxyl)diphenylsulfone having four benzene ring and represented by formula I (where X is SO2, O, CO, CH2 or S), 4,4'-diamino-3-carbamoyl ether represented by formula II and a tetracarboxylic acid dianydride such as pyromellitic acid dianhydride are condensed at about 15-20 deg.C in an org. solvent to synthesize a polyimide-isoindoloquinazoline polymer. As about 5wt% soln. of the polymer is coated onto an electrode substrate and heated to about 250-350 deg.C to form an orienting film.</p> |
