PURPOSE:To obtain the construction of small size of a lamp, by completing a work of central curved part after shaping of its curved part at both ends. CONSTITUTION:Forming drums 3, 3 are adapted to expected portions 2b', 2b' of curved shape at both ends of a bulb 2, and said expected portions 2b', 2b' are curved respectively into a U-shape along forming grooves 4, 4 on the forming drums to form both end curved parts 2b, 2b. After removing the drums 3, 3 from the bulb 2, the forming drum 3 is adapted to an expected portion 2a' of central curved shape of the bulb 2 to curve it obtaining a U-shaped portion thus to form a central curved part 2a. Then the drum 3 is removed from the bulb 2 in which a prescribed amount of mercury and inactive gas is sealed. |
