<p>The plate valve for corrosive fluids, and designed to resist abrasion, is suitable for acids, caustic liquids, steam, hot gases etc. The casing (1) is made of sheet metal in two halves, and in the lower part with a passage (4) for liquid flow past the sliding plate (5). An inner sealing housing (6) contains sealing rings (7) enclosing the edges of the plate. This lower part is of hollow construction, with an external flanged part (2) for securing bolts. The region of the outer casing is stiffened by ribs embossed horizontally above the opening (4), and there are further embossed ribs extending upwards to the top at each side. Securing sleeves extend from front to rear, around the opening. Near the top of the casing is an opening for access to a joint in the control spindle.</p> |
