The elongated instrument has a flexible distal end to gain access to inaccessible parts of the uterus. The main shaft is flat with a rectangular cross-section and has hooks along either edge. The hooks open downwards and are alternately spaced along opposite edges. The tip of the instrument is in the form of a flattened bulb for ease of entry into the uterus to remove an intra-uterine contraceptive. |
